What is this font? How to identify a font from images?

Why Use a Font Finder Tool?

Everyone has likely encountered this issue: when you come across a stunning font, you want to know what it is. Typically, you might ask a designer friend or search for similar fonts online, but this approach is often inefficient and it’s hard to find an exact match. That's why font finder software has become such a crucial tool. Fontapp is a font management software that comes with a built-in font finder feature. Let me introduce how you can use this tool to find the font you're looking for.

How to Use Font Finder in Fontapp?

First, prepare an image that contains the font you want to identify, ensuring that the image is as clear as possible. Then, open Fontapp, find the "Smart Tools" option, and click on "AI Font Finder." You can choose to either upload, drag-and-drop, or paste the image.

If the image contains multiple fonts or text, the software will automatically break the image into sections and identify the text in each part. Fontapp provides corresponding text tags for different sections of the image. By clicking on these tags, you can view the font finder results for each section. Fontapp organizes the results into two categories: "Results" and "Related." You can either find the exact font name or explore other fonts with similar styles.

Activating Fonts and Using Them in Design Software

Since Fontapp includes a built-in font management feature, you can directly activate or bookmark any Fontapp fonts you find through the font finder. Afterward, you'll be able to use these fonts in various design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, and more.

For example, here is a screenshot of a website that contains the font I want to identify and use.

Next, open Fontapp, find "AI Font Finder" as shown in the image, and upload your prepared image.

Wait a few seconds, and the font finder results will appear. The software automatically sections the image and identifies the fonts in each part. You can view the font associated with each text segment, which is displayed in the top-right corner of the screen.

The identified fonts will be displayed on the right side. In this case, the font identified is "Noto Sans Nag Mundari Regular," and similar fonts include "Noto Sans Siddham Regular," "Inter Tight Medium," and "Inter Tight Variable." If you find a font you like and want to use, simply click the switch in the top-right corner of the font, or click the star icon to add it to your favorites.

Once you activate the font, a prompt will confirm that the font has been successfully activated, and you can now use it in various design software.

For instance, I opened Keynote, typed some text, and then found the font I had just activated in the dropdown font menu, making it ready to use.
